Charlotte was at the restaurant, went to the bathroom and was stopped and asked to show ID. She was told that her ID had to say female in order to use the bathroom and that is DC law. She said that was a lie, went to the bathroom anyway, security came in looking for her, told her she was making the other women uncomfortable and eventually forced to leave the restaurant.
Last night, I was told by the manager of @CubaLibreDC that I couldn't use the women's restroom, and after challenging his discrimination with D.C. law and responding to his threat of calling the police w/ "please do so", I was forcibly removed from the restaurant. (thread)

Wow, I've gotten a LOT of messages from fragile people in the past 48 hours. "You're not really a football fan." "You're not really a military veteran." "You don't really have an American flag displayed in your home." Nope! I'm all these things and more. I just don't buy into your bullshit narrative of white supremacy and exclusionary patriotism. #TakeAKnee #TakeTheKnee
The Restaurant Has issued an apology.
